Enhance Your Lifestyle

How often should you get a massage?

Relaxation - If you love massage and need to spend more time relaxing, come in as often as you can!

Stress & Pain Relief - For optimal results, I recommend scheduling appointments as frequently as your schedule permits, especially when initiating a treatment. You can start with biweekly appointments then gradually transition to monthly appointments for effective injury prevention and pain reduction.

Relieving Adhesion “knots” - I recommend weekly appointments for 3 - 4 weeks to fully relieve your knots and increase range of motion. To help prevent pain and knots recurring, monthly appointments are recommended.

What type of massage should you book?

This is the most common question I get asked. If you are not familiar with massage it can be confusing trying to decide which service to book. Use the questions below to help you find the best massage service that suites your individual needs.

Question Guide

  1. Full Body Massage or Target Areas of Concern?

If you are feeling tightness/pain in more than 2 areas, a full body massage is recommended. A massage session focusing on target areas of concern is recommended if you are having recurring pain every day/every other day that limits your range of motion and creates knots. This is your time to relax and enjoy the massage!

  2. Relaxation or Pain Relief Massage?

Relaxation massages can reduce tension, stress, and anxiety. Swedish, Hot Stone, and Hand/Foot Massage can promote relaxation and improve sleep. Pain Relief massages include Deep Tissue, Integrated Bodywork, and Cupping. Pain Relief is beneficial for neck pain, recurring headaches, sciatica, lower back/hip pain or soreness from working out. The therapist can accommodate light, medium and firm pressure for Relaxation and Pain Relief Massage.

  3. 60 Minute or 90 Minute?

The duration of the massage depends on your pain level and how you are feeling. What is your pain level on a scale 1 - 5? Are you feeling tightness? soreness? numbness/tingling? tension? stress? all of the above? I recommended a 60 minute massage for pain levels lower than 3 and feeling tension in 1 or 2 areas. A 90 minute massage is beneficial for clients who would like a full body while focusing on 1 - 3 problem areas.

  4. What level of pressure should I request?

Pressure is relative and personal to each individual. Pressure can be adjusted throughout your session depending on pain level and your target areas of concern. It is important to communicate your preferences, as the ideal pressure can vary for different muscle groups.

    Light - recommended for relaxation

Medium - recommended for relaxation/tension relief

    Medium/Firm - recommended for tension relief/soreness

    Firm - recommended for tightness/stiffness
